6:00-7:15pmSunday Night Restorative Yoga with Toni & Lisa
Toni Shama and Lisa Genovese recently spent a week studying with renowned yoga teacher Judith Hanson Lasater in her Rest & Renew® Restorative Yoga Teacher Training, and they are very ready to share what they learned.
This 75-minute practice will be slow, quiet, warm and deeply supported. We’ll use bolsters, blankets, blocks and eye pillows to help the body settle into restorative postures without strain or effort. Rather than stretching farther or accomplishing something, we’ll practice receiving.
Restorative yoga is a practice of receptivity—of letting ourselves be supported instead of always being the one doing. Its pillars are beautifully simple: Observation. Support. Compassion.
And the hardest practice of all: leave your mind alone. You don’t need to stop your thoughts or force yourself to relax. We practice noticing all that mental spinning while returning, again and again, to the body and the present moment.
