A summer gathering of women to move with intention, receive acupuncture and remember joy in the body.
This ritual is rooted in the energy of the summer solstice: the longest days of the year, when everything in nature is open, bright, and fully expressed.
Together, we’ll explore joy as a practice of receiving.
What to ExpectWhat This Offering Is
Heart Blooming is a women’s yoga and acupuncture ritual led by Toni Shama and Sarah Marino.
You’ll begin in a seated circle.. From there, Toni will guide a playful, heart-opening yoga practice with breath, movement, standing postures, and moments of free-form expression.
Sarah will weave in the wisdom of Five Element Theory, where summer is connected to the heart, joy, and the Shen - the spirit/mind.
The evening will close with acupuncture and supported savasana, using blankets and props so the body can rest and receive.
Who This Is For
This is for women who want to feel more open, alive, connected, and present in their bodies.
No yoga or acupuncture experience necessary.
Why Yoga & Acupuncture
This yoga practice helps move energy through the body and create space around the heart. It invites the places that have gone numb or overworked to begin breathing again.
Acupuncture supports the nervous system! Sarah will use points that nourish the heart’s capacity for clarity and joy. In Chinese Medicine, the body is not a collection of separate parts but a living landscape of rivers, seasons, weather patterns, and unseen currents. Acupuncture gently speaks to these currents, helping energy return to places that have become depleted or stagnant.
Together, they create a conversation of curious love.
For this Summer Solstice ritual, we are working with the energy of the Heart-the great sun inside the body. The place where joy lives.
Toni and Sarah have been co-leading seasonal yoga and acupuncture for three years now and bring a love of conscious movement, rest and sisterhood to our sweet community of women.
